Richness Estimators v2.1

Data file:

Enter or browse to the location of a text file containing species census data. It should be a tab-delimited text file containing a matrix with the taxa in rows and the samples in columns. The elements of the matrix contain the number of individuals of a given species recorded in a given sample.

There can be a row of column headings or not, and a column of row labels or not. Also, the first row of numbers can optionally represent the effort put into each sample (e.g., number of quadrats, or time spent collecting). This information is not used by this technique. Remember to choose the appropriate buttons!

Analyse my data:

Analyse the seed bank dataset used in Colwell and Coddington (1994) and Colwell, Mao and Chang (2004). (Select “No” for the column and row label and capture effort options below.)

Column labels?

Row labels?

Capture efforts in first data row?

Options:

Use bias-corrected version of Chao 2 estimator where applicable?
